Affiliate Disclosure
The short version, up front: Stout Outdoors earns commissions from some of the links on this site. It never costs you anything extra, and it never decides what we recommend. The full version is below, because you'd ask.
How affiliate links work here
Some links on Stout Outdoors — product and "check price" buttons in particular — are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer or manufacturer pays Stout Outdoors a commission, typically a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay is the same as if you'd gone to the store directly. These commissions are how the site pays for its own upkeep, and they're disclosed here in compliance with the FTC's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255).
Programs we participate in (or are applying to)
Direct manufacturer programs and affiliate networks in the outdoor and power categories, which may include — as accounts are approved — Jackery, EcoFlow, BLUETTI, 4Patriots, and programs operated through the Impact, ShareASale, CJ Affiliate, Awin, Affiliatly, and AvantLink networks. Stout Outdoors is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com (participation status is noted here when active). Where a program relationship does not exist, links route to ordinary retailer pages and earn nothing.
What commissions never do
Commission rates are never a ranking input. Products are selected by the published methodology — specifications, standards, aggregated owner data, warranty terms, and price history. Where a lower-commission or no-commission product is the right recommendation, it is the recommendation. No brand pays for placement, previews editorial content, or receives favorable treatment.
Prices
Prices shown on this site are list prices or typical street prices as of each page's last-updated stamp, and they change constantly — especially during sale events. The price at the retailer's checkout is the price that counts. Deal prices on our deals pages are stamped with the date they were verified.
