Privacy Policy

What this site collects, why, and what it never does. Written in plain language on purpose.

Last updated: November 4, 2026

What we collect

Email addresses, only if you subscribe to the Stout List newsletter or request a lead magnet (such as the 72-Hour Readiness Checklist). Your address is used to send what you asked for and the weekly newsletter. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is honored immediately by the email provider.

Basic analytics — anonymous, aggregate usage data (pages visited, approximate region, device type) used to understand which guides are useful. Analytics are configured to avoid collecting identifying information where the tooling allows.

Messages you send us through the contact page or by email, kept only as long as needed to answer and maintain a corrections record.

Cookies

This site itself sets minimal cookies needed for basic function and aggregate analytics. If you click an affiliate link, the retailer or affiliate network sets its own cookies to attribute the visit (that's how commissions get credited); those cookies are governed by the retailer's and network's own privacy policies. You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time; the site's content remains fully readable.

What we never do

We never sell, rent, or trade your email address or personal information. We never collect payment information — purchases happen entirely on retailers' own sites under their policies. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and the site's content is written for adults.

Your choices

You may unsubscribe from email at any time, ask what information we hold about you, or ask for your email and messages to be deleted. Write to us via the contact page and the request will be handled within a reasonable time.

Changes

If this policy changes materially — for example, when email and analytics providers are finalized at launch — the updated version will be posted here with a new date. The version in force is always the one on this page.
